Grades compare forecasts for the overall July pattern with a no-information climate reference, using probability skill, category accuracy, bootstrap uncertainty and sample size. ERA5 remains useful for evening temperatures and cooling; its rain timing and dinner-rain figures stay out of the guest view until that discrepancy is resolved. The local station has a short record and is used as a check, not to rewrite the long record.
